About

Having studied art all throughout my younger years, I siezed the chance during the pandemic to reignite a passion for drawing. A break in the 2020 ice hockey season offered me, as a professional hockey player, the opportunity to begin rebuilding a talent and honing my craft.

Over the last three years, I have drawn or painted daily. Much of this time has been dedicated to studying, as I am passionate about the development of my personal art style. My art draws influence from the work of many artists, such as Mark Maggiori – I often take inspiration from his portrayal of the American West when drawing animals and portraits.

Over the last year, I have been lucky enough to have created numerous commissions for a range of clients – including large scale portraits, pet portraits and custom requests. All pieces are drawn in graphite pencil, focussing on realism and contrast.

There are many parallels to be drawn between the practice of art and of sport. In both, the commitment and time invested, alongside a clear determination and drive, will determine the overall success and results. My background in sport has allowed me the opportunity to begin building a successful career as a freelance artist.
